" Don't be fooled by the "cheap" prices, what you save on your purchase you will have to pay the Postman when your delivery arrives. An Post are clamping down on VAT charges, Cheap Smells are based in Guernsey therefore VAT of 21% applies, including and An Post admin charge of 6 euro for working out how much money you owe them, ie 21% of the value of your purchase.

From the Revenue.ie website, "Goods ordered by a private individual, over the Internet or from a mail order catalogue, from Gibraltar, the Canary Islands or the Channel Islands are not liable to Customs Duty, irrespective of value. However, such goods are liable to VAT at importation at the same rate as applies to the sale within Ireland of similar goods if their value exceeds €22.00."
